Jean-Michel Cormier

Jean-Michel graduated with honors from the Masters of Physiotherapy program at the University of Ottawa in 2011 earning the Canadian Physiotherapy Award for highest academic and clinical standing. Upon graduation, he engaged in several continuing education programs, such as the Canadian Physiotherapy Association’s Advanced Orthopaedic curriculum and successfully completed the Advanced Exams in 2019 earning him the Fellow of the Canadian Acamedy of Manipulative Physiotherapy (F.C.A.M.P.T.) designation. Jean-Michel is also credentialed by The McKenzie Institute and Certified to practice Integrative Dry Needling from the American Dry Needling Institute. He is co-owner of Max Health Institute Shediac since 2014.
 
His treatment approach integrates manual/manipulative therapy with individualized exercise prescription. He has a special interest in treating patients with temporo-mandibular joint issues and has completed additional courses in the fields of concussion and vestibular rehabilitation. Jean-Michel also has a passion for physical conditioning and health/wellness promotion and strives to not only help his patients become pain free but to inspire them to engage in a healthy and active lifestyle.
